Differrentiate between the soil from which matkas (pitchers) are made and the soil used to make statues.

  1. Soil is a general term , what we call as soil ( any type ). But, to make statues or matkas, a special type of spoil is required. The soil should have sticky property, with out any impurity, like small sand particles etc.,.( normally extracted from lake beds ). This sand will be mixed with water in a predetermined proportion, and kneed ed well ( like Chapati atta ), then it should be backed in " Clins " to obtain matkas, statues, pots etc, for about a week or ten days. Then they get red and strong matkas.

    Presently the Artists, were using the Electric Ovens or backers, to bake their crafts.
