  1. I think it's like Indian Time or Pagan Standard Time.  Either always late or just whenever it happens.  It come from the image of certain people being more laid back or lazy.

  2. i think it gives us, Filipinos, a bad image since it makes people from other countries think that we are ALWAYS LATE..

now, i don't want them to think that.

  3. Filipino time has little meaning.....this is due to lack of consideration for others ......in most cultures keeping some one waiting around is an insult and shows lack of care for the person kept waiting.....

Filipinos do not like being told they need to improve ....so they don't improve.....

I will be surprised if even this answer doesn't upset Filipinos !

  4. lol, it's pretty much minority time.

Indians call it Indian Standard time.

    There is Asian time too.

It's true too, everybody's late for indian, oriental, flip weddings and stuff all the time. You always have to put down like an hour earlier on the invitations.

Hispanics and African-Americans supposedly do it too, but I don't know what they call it.

  5. It depends on where you do it. I mean I'm filipino and we come to other FILIPINO parties late. But if you're dealing with a corporate occasion or partying with another race, you go by "regular" time. It's not rude to your family if you go to their parties late. But if you don't know your manners and come late to the wrong occasions, then yes it gives you a bad image.

  6. always late!  I would say it's just a saying that Filipinos made up...no big deal.

  7. ALWAYS LATE!

not on time, especially during appointment...

definitely a negative comment about us...
