What is really a MP4 player? And how do i add music to it?

what does a MP4 do? is it the same as a ipod?

An Mp4 player is just the same as an ipod or what ever you youngsters use these days. An Mp4 file is just like an Mp3 but is higher quality. Add music the same way u would to an ipod. I drag and drop it from Limewire. But buying it off itunes works or just conveniently find it on the web ;) and download it to your computer and then drag and drop it

Depends.  Seems to be a little confusion on the subject.  Technically, mp4 is a video format.  But many mp4 players are only mp3 players with AMV video capability.  This is more the case with iTunes downloads.  And music only downloads have the m4p (not mp4) extension.
