  1. The word is  Replum

    A thin wall separating the two valves or chambers of certain fruits.

    Siliqua==

    A Siliqua is a dry dehiscent fruit. It is long and thin, splits down the two long sides, and has a papery membrane (the septum  or REPLUM ) between the two halves.

    Fruits of this type are all in members of the Cabbage Family (Brassicaceae): Aubrieta (Aubrieta x cultorum), Cabbage (Brassica olearacea), Honesty (Lunaria annua), Radish (Raphanus sativus).

    A siliqua which is less than twice as long as broad is called a Silicula.

  2. Hi KP,

    A replem (Maverick is correct, it is spelled, replum) in botany is the persistent septum after dehiscence of a fruit from any plant in the mustard or Brassicaceae family.

    To break that down into English...

    The persistent septum is a partition that remains after the plant's fruit has opened and ejected (dispersed) its seeds.

    In this case, dehiscence means the spontaneous opening at maturity of the fruit to release its seeds.

    I hope that this of some help to you.
