What is required to be an orthodontist?

I am starting high school this year and I really want to know what do you have to do to become an orthodontist? I want to know what you have to do all the way up to when your finally ready to get your own office. Like what kind of schools you have to go to, how long and other stuff like that. If there are any orthodontists out there, please help me.

Dental degree and then specialise in orthodontics.
