These conversions are pretty common. But do you need to change tranny, exhaust, etc. just to put a chevy 350 in it? I was planning on doing this but i dont know if it needs alot of other parts.

  1. Time ,Money ,and fabrication. When switching out oem parts for somethingelse be prepared to run into all sorts of fun(see pain in the butt)challenges.Your best bet is to talk to someone who has done this a few times.my last foray into this field was a 350 into a 70 vega.goodluck

  2. It's been a while but I know it's fairly easy. You definately need new engine mounts & exhaust headers.

As for the tranny I think most convert to a T400 because it's a easy conversion & powers up well.

Obviously you need to connect it all together so the driveshaft has to be manufactured. I think it requires the jag shaft being welded to a Chev shaft but your local driveshaft (propshaft) shop will know more about this.

Apart from that the rest is easy. Some electrics, new radiator fan (not viscous - electric) & your away!

Btw the Jag will look great if you lower it as low as you can & stick it on 17" 5 spokes. Been there done that!

    Good luck
