  1. a Visa(not the credit card) its just like going to any other country now

  2. I live in Windsor, Ontario, and cross the border into Detoit, Michigan  almost weekly.  The requirements at this crossing are the same as throughout Canada.

You do need government-issued photo ID (something official); your ski pass photo will not do, sorry.  You also need your original birth certificate, not a photocopied one.

No passport is required, tho, until at least June, 2009.

  3. passport to get into canada, driver's license to get back into the states

  4. you'll need government issued photo Id as well as your birth certificate to drive across the border. a ski pass will not do.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to cross.

  5. A valid passport.

  6. You will need your birth certificate and some government ID. Go to your local BMV and get a state ID. Here's a website with some info for it.
