What is resource management?

I'm starting 9th grade and I got my schedule in the mail today and it says that I will be taking resource management and I didn't sign up for that, so I don't know what it is. Can someone tell me what it is and maybe what kinds of things I'll be doing in that class?

resource management is making the most effective use of what you have to solve a problem or work towards a project goal.

remember this can cover an awful lot - not just material things  -time is a resource - as are people.

if you learn how to make the best of these - you will go far.
