What is riffize.com?

Question

I got a email for a "friend" on myspace saying "hey has anyone emailed youu to let you know your profil image is beinng featured on riffize.com". I don't know this guy personally, I just added him to my friends list to get another person on my Mobsters game app.

I tried to search for information in riffize but I got nothing. When I entered www.riffize.com into my address bar, I was directed to what seemed to be a bogus pop up ad site. I got pop messages stating that my computer or ip address was compromised, etc.

I don't know very much about computers and how damaging those messages were. I assume that my computer is okay, but I wanted to double check with those that actually know what's going on.

You are correct. Ignore it and delete it.

Yes I checked it out and thought it was ugly and  I got out.

No it didn't cause any problem or else my real time anti-viris and anti-spyware would have alerted me.

Delete anything that has to do with it  and relaxxx.

I have no idea what it is.  If you don't either, I strongly urge you to forget it.  No anti-virus software can protect you if you are careless and open e-mail from someone you don't know, click on attachments from non-trusted sources, and click on links which may or may not be trustworthy.
