What is rock paper scissors?

i have heard of it and i know it is one of those showing finger games like the old italian men used to play but what exactly are the rules or moves and scoring.

Bang your fist on your palm three times, on the third time, hold up scissors (two fingers pointing), rock (fist), or paper (palm). The other player will do the same.

Paper beats rock (you cover the "rock" with the "paper").

Scissors beats paper (act like the "scissors" are cutting through the "paper").

Rock beats scissors (the "rock" punches the "scissors")

The main object of the game is to guess what your opponent is going to use, and use whatever beats it.

usually played between two people but can be more.

There are three hand configurations.

Scissors: is like the "peace" sign.  your index and middle finger extended  and spread like scissors.

Rock: Closed fist

Paper: palm extended open

The rules are simple.

You hold one hand in a closed fist. You count to three, usually pumping your fists up and down. At the count of three you all use the hand sign you have chosen for that round.

Who wins:

Scissors beats Paper, because it can cut paper

Rock beats Scissors because the rock can smash up the scissors.

Paper beats Rock because paper can enclose the rock.
