What is rong with women cricket?

i have played cricket for a few years i hav played for essex we hav thrashed many boys teams 30 girls in my club play cricket n dats jus the colts section I fink cricket is an amazing game jus because im a girl doesnt mean make ups my life itz not i spend most of my week playin so boys who think girls playin i fink are jus scared dat sum girls cn take dem on

They are not giving respect to women's.They only telecast Men cricket and very few telecast women's cricket.So now the people are not taking interest in it.They should do something for women's cricket so that people would take interest in it.

There isn't any money to be made in women's cricket, they're just aren't the crowds for it and people would rather watch the men's game because it's higher scoring (most of the time). Not to mention that there is a total lack of promotion and no TV coverage plus the advent of 20/20 leagues which women can play no part in. I could go on.

It's a shame really because there are a lot of women taking up cricket up at the moment.

You have a great attitude

The game of cricket has always been a "Gentlemen's" game, i dont approve of this, but men's cricket will always be more popular than womens for these reasons

*STANDARD- Slower bowlers who cant swing the ball or move the ball at great pace (compared to men) The batswomen are all decent technically, but they lack the power and firepower to provide real entertainment

* LACK OF INVESTMENT- Sky only shows 2 womens matches a year, so womens cricket is hardly seen on TV. Players are not recognisable!! the stadiums are never full, because no-one actually knows when the matches are being played.

Those reasons listed are the main reasons why womens cricket is not popular, but i believe if a women is good enough to play with the men then she should!! and i'm glad so many women are getting into cricket!! Infact i know a lot of girls who LOVE cricket!
