I am a speed cuber so I know a lot about Rubik's cube's and I can't figure out why they haven't made a cube without stickers! Why not just color coat the pieces? Or have they and I'm just aware of it?

  1. because it is too expensive if it has a color and the color will be remove too fast

  2. Yes, it would be much more expensive to change the injection molding process to allow for colored plastic, especially on the corner cubes which would need three different colors molded into one piece of plastic, for a total of eight customized corners.  Then, they would need to be assembled in the proper order.  As it is now, they can form only one standard corner cube and make eight of them, assemble them in any order and apply the stickers last.

  3. I think if they make cubes with colors coat on pieces, it might make marks if you accidentally scratch it.

I know they make tiles, but not pieces with color coat on the pieces.

  4. our world is cheap

    (except 4 gas) hahahah
