Before the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima what would've been said over the radio in the plane?

Would it have been classic army 'roger' and 'over' type things?

  1. "Twenty bucks and a pack of smokes says we can see those little b******s catch on fire from all the way up here: Over.".

  2. Tallhoe Bombs away!

  3. I do believe that "bombs away" was the protocol to let the pilot know the bombs were leaving the aircraft and there would be a shift do to the weight loss.

What was actually said, I don't know.

My dad was a bombadeer in the Korean War for a little while.  He was a prop specialist so when he didn't have a plane to fix, he did other things as well, that was one of the jobs he did.

  4. ummm....bombs away? Who knows? I personally would have been scared because of the unknown so my words would have been more "choice"
