What is salary for the flight attendant in 2008???

I want be a flight attendant,but i am wondering what is the salary for the beginning flight attendant ?

Last time I checked it was about US $29 000. Not very high but I think it would be an excellent position.

I want to be a flight attendant before I become an airline pilot.

In the US the average salary is 50K. Google "ooh". Its an occupational handbook by the goverment and it gives more information on F/A wages and benefits.
