What is scariest thing that ever happened to you?

I will tell you my story. Most people don't believe me when I till them this, but I know what I saw and I even have witnesses. Please don't think I'm some crazy person,because I'm not! What I saw was real! Okay, so here we go, a few years ago my cousin, sister, and I were sitting on my cousin's bed playing playstation. In right where his tv is there is a window. And my cousin went to turn off the tv and once he shut it off, this thing ran past the window. It was black,it look kind of tall, it also seemed to have very skinny legs. This was no human it was running way to fast plus it's legs were very very skinny and in a way it looked like it had some kind of claws. It also looked headless. I was terrified and I never wanted to go outside ever again. But 7 years has past and now I am 16 years old. I still remember it to these days. I think that is weird because my cousin, sister, and I all saw it at the same time. We jumped and yelled "Did you see that?" Then a few months ago I was the only one in the living room, everyone else was sleeping. And I went to turn off the tv and I just happened to look out the window. And I saw it run across my front yard. It scared the c**p out of me, because it looked exactly like the one that I saw with my cousin and sister. We never told anyone until the last time that I saw it. I told my parents and my friends. They just looked at me like I was crazy. I even researched it and other people saw it too. They claim that it could be a deamond. So, if you want to tell me your story!

On a mission trip, my youth group and I slept in this big old church. You know the type-- Catholic-style, big stained glass windows, bell tower, etc.

Well, my teacher had been talking with one of the program directors, Brian, for the mission trip and he mentioned that one of the bell towers were supposedly haunted. So one night, around 11 PM, she led a group of 10 kids or so, including me, up the bell tower with the program director. You have to climb up several ladders and platforms to go up the tower. It was surreal- the tall cathedral-style windows shone orange because of the street lights outside, and at the bottom of each, you could see the shadow of one or two sleeping pigeons.

On the second floor, there was a little, somewhat fake-looking noose hanging from one of the platforms, and Brian regaled us with a rather cliche tale of someone hanging himself from that platform. (I could tell he was making it up.) Sometime after he finished, we heard and felt this loud THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! rattling throughout the bell tower. It scared the c**p out of all of us. The girls screamed-- long and high-pitched. (Honestly, the girls' screams were a LOT scarier than the 'thumping' noises!) For reasons I never comprehended until later, Brian went right up the ladder. My teacher and I followed. The other kids didn't want to come, but they went anyway. The higher up we went, the more the 'thumps' intensified. It was like something was warning us, threatening us with furious thump, thump, thumps each time we got closer.

On the fifth ladder or so, we reached a narrow hallway; only Brian, my teacher, and I were up there. It was completely dark. No one else wanted to follow us. We moved just a few steps down the dark hallway.

A powerful THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! in rapid succession finally persuaded Brian to turn around. I couldn’t lip-read what he said and barely heard it, but the message was clear: we’re going back. I didn’t hesitate and went back down the ladder as fast as I could go. Everyone filed down the ladders quickly. Even though we were moving away, the ominous thumps kept coming. My hands were shaking by the time we reached the ground level.

We moved away quickly and walked down the hallway, down the stairs leading to the sanctuary. The thumping had stopped, but now we heard eerie knocking and footsteps. We thought someone was following us. When we entered under the second platform of the sanctuary, we heard a short crashing noise from above.

We crept down the sanctuary, down to the preacher’s platform at the other side. Everyone settled down there, feeling a little safer, and we waited a few minutes, watching the sanctuary. Suddenly, I saw one of the curtains on the second-floor platform move. It waved back and forth across the wall. That was it; everyone freaked out and ran out of the sanctuary.

Later we found out it was all a big practical joke played by another program assistant, Dan, and a couple of kids. Brian and my teacher were in on the joke too.

hey i believe yor story.....that is scary ****. i would of crapped my pants.

I have had something similar, although i was in the lounge room in my old house, i was by myself, everyone had gone out and no c**p some black figure walkd past the door...i was really scared....i actually got up to have alook around,  (i thought it was my imagination) and it walked right by me again....it looked like a figure of a man, very solid.

I bought my dog in then and he didn't bark or anything, just went to sleep on the floor.

that was the scariest expereince for me.

I believe your story, how can they not believe you, they dont have proof to say that what you saw wasnt real!.....BTW that's kinda cool, I've never had any encounters with anything supernatural....

the scariest thing that happened to be was getting lost (for about 5 seconds) at the mall when I was seven...

i believe you....and i dont think your crazy.  

my art teacher told us these really weird stories about a faceless man/ghost/spirit thing and apparently a lot of people have had the same experience.  im still freaked out by it.

my story: my brother and i were watching some old s****. doo movies one night and then we both heard a weird noise then turned to look at one of my cabinets with some old dolls in it. (i was young)  anyway we both looked at it and one of the dolls arms was moving.  it creeped us both out.  we had to sleep in the living room the rest of the night and were scared to go into the room the next morning.  

it doesnt sound scary, but we were both scared shitless.

I believe you. Strange things happen everyday and not enough people are aware of it.

My scary story happened when I was ten years old. My little sister and I shared a bedroom and I woke up pretty late into the night. The first thing I heard were voices. I turned to look at my sister's bed, thinking that it is her talking...I saw one of our porcelain dolls upright talking and gesturing to my sister. It kept saying,"There is no place for you. You know, you know, you know, you know." It also laughed at the end. I was scared stiff and I just shut my eyes and went to sleep.

The next night, I woke up again late into the night and I saw it sitting next to my sister's head, stroking her hair. It didn't say anything this time--it kept stroking. I kept watching until it locked its eyes on me and then it began to move toward my direction! I screamed my head off, my parents came in, my sister woke up, and in the end I got yelled at.

It was a good thing we were moving the next day to a new place. My sister was very agitated with me and for a good while, her hair was stringy and her scalp was scabby. I kidnapped her porcelain doll and gave it to the local priest and told him it was cursed. He didn't believe me of course...I suspect he gave it to charity.

Pretty pathetic ending to this story...but I will never ever forget that night and the fear spreading quickly inside my body.
