  1. self defense is when someone is attacking you and you fight back to defend yourself. the requirements for a self defense situation are your legs, arms, and other body parts. maybe a weapon if necessary

  2. self defence needs a situation where your health is in danger by a man or animal.

self defence ends when your health is not in danger anymore. (you get away, attacker backs down etc).

self defence is not the same as fighting.

  3. moves that you use when you defened yourself

  4. To ME;

Self defense is when there is no knowledge of the attacker or intent until the moment has happened, or if there is no way out or to avoid the conflict. In this case you must resort to any means necessary to protect... yourself. I know I just said that there is no other way out, but I might recant that statement to say this...

Self defense is any means necessary to prevent harm to one's self. This would include talking, running away, screaming, calling for help, returning threats, and the final... physical combat.

The requirements of this, in my opinion, would be the ability to act of sound mind with conviction in order to preserve safety or life. I would also think that common sense as to when a situation has moved from self defense to battery is a necessary requirement for understanding. Understanding when, in the situation, one gains the upper hand and their attacker can no longer attack them (by social moral standards) then it is within the legal limits. Generally as stated by the legal system, if one can articulate the situation, then it will be accepted by the court system of this country as self defense.

I think that as far as a training regime is concerned, a basic understanding of body mechanics, vulnerable areas, and the various tools available in each given situation are what is necessary.

  5. Self defense is defending yourself.

    What are the "requirements"...

Use anything and everything available to assure your safety.

Once you get to the point of pounding on the other guy, you are no longer DEFENDING yourself.

  6. self defense is simply protecting yourself when you have no choice but to do so.

that doesnt mean a fight...that doesnt mean physically defending yourself only. it includes prevention!! it includes avoidance!!

one prime requesite to this...at least as far as street self defense goes...is the quality of "having no other option"....if you AGREE to fight someone...it is NOT self defense. if you have no other choice however...you are just defending yourself. if there is no attacker...there is no need to defend yourself.

also to me...this includes stopping...not taking it too far. you dont have to bloody someone's face up to defend yourself. it is ..only going as far as you MUST go to escape, or survive, but having the willpower and knowledge to go as far as you MUST.

  7. self defense is when you defend yourself against the attacker who wants to hit you. self defense is when you can protect yourself or even fight back by kicking, punching or the worst is using a weapon against your opponent.

what are the requirements? i suggest you study some martial arts that will teach you how to defend yourself like kicking, punching, and stuff like that... goodluck!

  8. Self defense is where you defend yourself. <_< ... and the requirement for a self defense situation is that your defending yourself.
