What is short term investment and long term investment in share market ?

short term is nothing,  investing for this term is pure "satta" (it should be done with day trading and not by this so called short term) and nobody knows what is going to happen

if u say investment that is meant for a long period for me it is 8 to 10 years but it should be a minimum of 5 years otherwise you should not INVEST

Short term investment mean, share trading. they will buy share today and will sell today itself or the next day. Day traders using the technical analysis and stock market movement to temporary predication. the final result of day trading would be, the day trader take a plate and will go to street for begging. No legend day trader name available in the world and that mean nobody won with day trade till today.

Long term investing mean, Stock investing. They are using the value investing approach to find out a good company by retrieving Earnings growth, company product or service familiarity, management clarity etc..., Warren Buffett and Benjamin Graham are the best legend long term value investors.... there are lot like George Sorros, Merry Lynch etc...
