  1. How about 3 billion a year in sales

  2. Cuba, Polaris, the north star, is always easily findable in the northern hemisphere, and can be used at night to navigate  your boat or ship. Mariners have used this star to steer by for hundreds of years. Since the Earth's axis is pointed toward it, and since it is high in the sky it is always in the same place. There are charts available to find other stars, but Polaris is always there.

There is also a company or two named the same.

    Regards,

    Dan

  3. They don't make jet skis anymore.

  4. It is the North Star.

  5. ill assume you are talking atvs here, they are known for being a quicker utility atv, but having problems with their drive train if you are hard on them, sand, water, mud all will cause their belt system to slip and you are done for awhile until it dries or you clean it out

  6. not only is it always north, but WAY more importantly it is always a constant height above the horizon depending on how far north of the Equator you are,.

So in the days before radios and radars or even accurate clocks and sextants, if you wanted to sail to, say, Cadiz, Portugal from anywhere in the Atlantic you would sail north or south until Polaris was the same height above the horizon as you knew Cadiz's latitude was ( ie how high Polaris was at Cadiz) and then turn right or left.

It was called 'running your easting down' and it seems primitive, but it was what was done from 1400 to 1830.

  7. Polaris is also known as the North Star as it sits almost on a direct northerly bearing. Very usefull in navigation .All other stars revolve around this point in the heavens.
