What is sixth sun? is it dangerous?

just wanted to know since i hear about it alot... its supposed to be in the month of december in the year 2012. what is the sixth sun and what is it going to do? thanks for the answers

Its not true that the earth will end in December 21, 2012 (12-21-12).

I'm not even very worried about 12-12-12 or any other dates that form a pattern or sequence! :-)

Here is some info on the topic of "Sixth Sun": The Mayans divided what they used for a basic calendar into six cycles, called "suns."

The Mayans lived during the Fourth Sun. The Mayans made no mention of a Seventh Sun, and the sixth (and current) sun ends in the year 2012. Is the world likely to come to an end because an ancient civilization didn't see the need for thinking about dates beyond 2012? Not too likely, in my estimation.

I've never heard of the sixth sun and I would make plans for Jan. 2013.
