What is so cool and awesome about Chuck Norris?

I don't get why he's so popular!! My friend is like obsessed with him and so many people think he's awesome. Please explain. And please don't give me any of the Chuck Norris jokes eg. 'Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.' coz I have heard them all.

It's an internet meme. There's nothing special about him. Some guy says Chuck Norris can kick your ***, and the next thing you know there's a site dedicated to his incredible feats. That's the internet masses for you.

It's no coincidence that Chuck Norris started becoming popular on the net soon after the Star Wars Kid stopped being funny...

It's like the David Hasselhoff obsession.  It starts off small and then everyone jumps on the band waggon and it becomes a worldwide thing.  Watch Texas, Walker Ranger.  It's awful.  A man who can do something like that and still be a legend is obviously brilliant!

Some people don't really even know who Chuck Norris is but they have heard the jokes and still like them.  He is also the only person to ever come close to beating Bruce Lee.
