What is so dangerous with the road between Detroit and Toronto??

I am curious about what I read today on the US international travel advisory web site. It says that the road between Detroit, Michigan and Toronto, Canada is VERY DANGEROUS. Can anyone tell me if the road is only a few lanes wide and why it is so dangerous?? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Lots of Transport Trucks... two lanes mostly and the most accidents occur between Woodstock and Kitchener. My opinion is between Woodstock and Kitchener the speed 100/ km/hr is too fast. We called it the KILLER highway.

The road in question is Ontario highway number 401, which is the busiest road  in North America. It carries a great deal of traffic, and it is the main truck route from eastern Canada, into the USA, at the Detroit/Windsor bridge.

The 401 from Windsor to Toronto is no more dangerous than any other road.  Drive in a safe manner  and don't exceed the speed limit of 100 kph or 63 miles an hour,

Roads are not dangerous  go ahead everything is ok and safe drive safely as per rules don't worry go ahead remember to have your paper work like passport visa etc with you and put some US currency to pay on border which $ 4 US ,it is also advisible for shopping it will be easier if you US currency with you. US highways have 70 miles speed . Go ahead enjoy US tour.

This question puzzles me but maybe I can shed some light on it.

I travel that road often since I have family in the Windsor/Essex area.  The only thing that might be dangerous about that stretch of road is the high volume of trucks that frequent it.  It's also a bit of a stretch and I think that there have been many "asleep at the wheel" accidents that have occurred between London and Detroit over the years.

However, there's nothing that indicates it's overly dangerous due to any sort of criminal activity.
