What is so different about popular girls than other ones?

I mean, we have popular girls at our school... and they act the same as any of my friends! They wear the same clothes too!

Popularity spreads like a virus, it's difficult to know the origins. If it isn't down to athletic prowess or obvious beauty, it's usually something whipped up out of nothing. A pretty good achievement mixed with luck.

I guess most of the popular girls at other schools just have an attitude and think they are better than everyone else.  You're lucky if you don't have girls like that at your school.

They are whiny b*tches who starve for attention (and try to starve themselves). They also think they own everything and can get pushy. They think everyone loves them. Psh. Just try not to be one. Really. They are always going behind each other's backs too. I've seen it, and my school isn't even all that clicky.

Sometimes popular girls are popular for being a great athlete, for being really pretty, or just being extremely nice to EVERYONE which makes everyone like them.

But unfortunately, most popular girls are just popular because they go behind each others' backs and talk s**+*t about each other. And you know what happens then: Gossip goes around and makes the little b*tches known to the whole school. Yep, its usually the s***s who cheated and back stabbed their friend that become popular.
