  1. A lighthouse guides a sailor to a safe harbour. It helps them avoid the rocks and other unseen perils. In a spiritual sense  our faith  in God is our lighthouse ,and that same faith guides us through the trials of life.

  2. I love lighthouses.  I have one in my garden which lights up at night. I have always lived not too far from a real lighthouse,   St Marys that is in Whitley Bay  North Tyneside  England.   They save the sailors from crashing into rocks as we all know.  I will look out for that film you mention.   The fog horn is spooky at night.

  3. They look pretty on calendars.

  4. Lighthouses are very important. How could my albatross spot the right place to fly to when he is coming back from a night out at sea?

    Cheers

  5. Before GPS and all the other fancy electronic gadgets, lighthouses marked dangerous points:  reefs, rocks and sunken hazards.  They made navigation possible at night by marking navigation points.  We still have lighthouses today but most have been converted to radio signal emitting stations.  Most important of all, they give artists something to draw and paint to sell.
