The main reason why products made from the Dead Sea salt is unique is because the Dead Sea itself is unique itself. The second saltiest body of water in the world, although not technically a sea but more of a lake.

It sits at the lowest point of elevation on earth and is very popular for its waters' therapeutic and healing properties.

I have a couple beauty products made of Dead Sea Salts from Israel. It is Israeli product. My daughter purchased them for me. One is body scrub and the other is a facial mask.  So nice!  Second best thing to a relaxing float in Dead Sea (and cleaner than a mud bath.)

To me they are special because I am not there now plus they are nice beauty products. To me it is a piece of home.  If I was there then I would just go try to float in the sea.
