  1. im not a cars guy

well, its Duratorq not Durotorq, and its a diesel engine first introuduced in 2000 specially made for the range of Ford Mondeos, the engine was developed over time and now its in peugeot, citroen, landrover and few more,, the whole series was made with turbo intercooled

the most recent is the HDi/TDCi, from the family of the PSA DW engines, one with 2.2 L and the other with 2.0, its I4 turbo intercooled and has 16 valves and used in the mondeo, transit, jaguar x-type, LDV London TX1 and London TXII

  2. Absolutely nothing.

The Duratorq name refers to the dual mass sprung flywheel used in Ford diesel engines that mean a clutch will cost you around £600 when it goes.

There is never, ever anything revolutionary or wonderful about anything that Ford manages to produce - trust me!
