  1. She apparently has allowed McCain to forget about the past 8 years of supporting failed poliicies.

  2. She reads teleprompters very well.

She can also try to play the pity card by falsely claiming that the Obama campaign was spreading lies about her, then using this claim to try to solicit donations for her campaign, as she announced today.

  3. She is a bright attractive woman who doesn't believe in murdering her unborn children.

  4. Nothing.

  5. charisma. What's so special about Obama anyways?

  6. She is outspoken and knows what she believes. She is a really good speaker and has good idea's that will actually work out. She doesn't flip-flop and Obama is known to that. Also she is the only person in the whole race who has had executive branch experience. That's my opinion!

  7. What I love about it is that her work experience blows Obama's away. Nobody even has to say anything, just sit and grin. For this election it is spectacular.

Obama's state senate time might get him a job at a car wash.

    Palin:

    State Governor: 2 years

    City Council:4 years

    Mayor: 6 years

Oil and Gas Commissioner: 1 year

    Total Executive Experience: 13 years

    Obama:

    State Senator: 8 years

    Fed Senator: 4 years

    Total Executive Experience: 0 years

PTA is probably on par with "community organizer"

Keep in mind that Palin is in the VP slot and not the president.

  8. She's "experienced." She's pro-life. She kinda hot. She's female. She willing to deceive people on national television.

She has no shame about running a double standard when it comes to dealing with the media. (Only report GOOD things about my children...track Iraq 9/11.....not the OTHER stuff.)

To come from a town of less than 10,000, she's well on her way to becoming a Roveian master of political deception.

  9. Are you kidding me. She is got to be the hottest babe in politics. That's reason enough for me...whoops..right...she's got morals as well.

For years, we've heard from women how great looking Bill Clinton was, and Edwards, and Obama....talk about double standard....sheesh

  10. Gotta be the shoes.

  11. Absolutely nothing and I don't believe anybody has said there is anything spectacular about her.

  12. what's so spectacular about Biden??

  13. There is nothing spectacular about her but the only reason why i think McCain chose her is because if he chose the man from Massachusetts everyone would just be like o. because we all thought he was going to pick him once he picked Sarah palin he got people talking and thats was he intended for.  the only reason he wanted to get people talking was because obamas speech was right before his so he could get people to talk about him and not obama and he got what he wanted because we are all taling about her

  14. She's a woman, and ordinary woman, who used to be a sports announcer, so a lot of women can relate to her. Personally though, she annoys me...

  15. Apparently, the fact that she can look angry.

  16. she use to hunt moose and bears.....

  17. "She has accomplished more than Obama politically, and has executive experience" Really, she has accomplished more than Obama? She's governor of the 47th most populous state and has only been in office 20 months and already has an internal investigation launched against her. Obama was in state senate, then real senate, and has yet to have an inquisition of the same nature.

To the original poster, nothing is special about Sarah Palin. She's a beautiful woman, and John McCain made a smart choice in choosing her so he can go after disgruntled Hillary voters. But to suggest that she has some sort of valuable experience that justifies her being a heartbeat away from the office of the Presidency is pure folly.

  18. She's actually promised change and delivered on it--which we haven't really seen from Obama/Biden.

  19.   She has zest, NO Washington smell on her and is a "real" in touch person with the citizens of this country.   How many of us have been there and done that in her life experiences.  Yet if you listen to Obama, he's more in touch with the "common person".....................as he drives to his $ 500,00.00 home in an ALL white, security gated community.....................provided at pennies on the dollar by his intimate friend......

  20. The Fact that the Obama Supporters had their panties in a bunch within an hour of Palin's Speech.

  21. She's not afraid to speak her mind. She doesn't take sides. She's true to her beliefs. She might be Republican, but she still disagrees with many Republicans when she knows they are doing something wrong, or does not agree with them. I think John McCain made a great choice when he picked her.

  22. Nothing--she is absolutely nothing special. McCain only picked her to pull in the conservatives since he is more moderate.  She doesn't impress me.

  23. She made the DOW plunge today, made McCain lose votes, and now Obama has regained the lead. Job well done.

  24. I personally think it's because she is the first woman vice presidential candidate for Republicans.

I think what's also spectacular is that she hasn't denied anything about her/her family (she released to the media her daughter's pregnancy).

It's amazing that she can speak to such a large audience so well, when she's only governed the small state of Alaska. Alaska seems to like her (She has like an 80-something% approval rating there..)

These are just my opinions. (:

  25. • Palin has actively sought the support of the fringe Alaska Independence Party. Six months ago, Palin told members of the group—who advocate for a vote on secession from the union—to "keep up the good work" and "wished the party luck on what she called its 'inspiring convention.'" 3

    •

    • Palin wants to teach creationism in public schools. She hasn't made clear whether she thinks evolution is a fact.4

    •

    • Palin doesn't believe that humans contribute to global warming. Speaking about climate change, she said, "I'm not one though who would attribute it to being manmade." 5

    •

    • Palin has close ties to Big Oil. Her inauguration was even sponsored by BP. 6

    •

    • Palin is extremely anti-choice. She doesn't even support abortion in the case of rape or incest. 7

    •

    • Palin opposes comprehensive s*x-ed in public schools. She's said she will only support abstinence-only approaches. 8

    •

    • As mayor, Palin tried to ban books from the library. Palin asked the library how she might go about banning books because some had inappropriate language in them—shocking the librarian, Mary Ellen Baker. According to Time, "news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor." 9

    •

    • She DID support the Bridge to Nowhere (before she opposed it). Palin claimed that she said "thanks, but no thanks" to the infamous Bridge to Nowhere. But in 2006, Palin supported the project repeatedly, saying that Alaska should take advantage of earmarks "while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist." 10

  27. nothing great hair though

  28. Nothing

  29. She has accomplished more than Obama politically, and has executive experience

  30. Nothing except she makes rednecks happy...
