  1. UK owns USA

    Sorry USA friends :)

  2. It is going down the pan, so much that we seem to have hit the bottom and started digging.  People here don't care about anything unless it directly impacts upon them.  If  everything in a situation goes exactly the way they want, the people will be happy; if one tiny little thing isn't what they want, they turn abusive (I was riding a bus last week and someone wanted to get off on a corner in between bus stops, the driver refused and they shouted abuse at him).  More people of any age are willing to jump immediately to violence as the solution to their problems.

All kinds of music are popular here, so you can probably find somewhere to enjoy whatever you like.

You don't say where you are from, but if I were you, I'd stay in America.  Vermont is nice, go there.

  3. i'm from U.k living in N.ireland. It is very beautiful green and mountains fresh air  and unpolluted beaches - lots of different music lots of horse riding - Sometimes there is stuff to do but the population is pretty low and its pretty rural so there often isn't enough people in any one place to make things happen except for music - storytelling is big plus Surfing surrounded by sea we do lots of water sports - It is worth the experience to live on a small island. When I went to America I cried at first because everything was so big - I never knew the world was that big it was overwhelming and when I got to U.S I couldn't buy a small packet of potato crisps they came in these big sacks - I felt so small. It would be weird coming the other way too - you'd be like Gulliver in Lilliput. There are no snakes here or life threatening animals or insects. The sea is turquoise where I live.

  4. Just come and see for your self, but make sure you travel around, to take in the different parts of the UK. Apart from some fast food chains, it is very different to the US.

People are saying its going down the pan because of immigrants etc and we are losing our Britishness. Sort of a naff thing to say considering there are thousands of Brits living around the world.

We are how ever suffering because of the recession in the US,but hopefully things will eventually turn around.

Any kind of music is popular in the UK.

  5. Itz Okayish...But plz theres enough ppl in the UK anymore Yanks up here we gna burst.

I mean america is not bad in small doses.

Gosh everybody comes to the UK and Fkz up everything....Why?

  6. That's just propaganda.

Lots of countries including most of Europe are at least as good as America, and they're not really that different. They generally have the same freedoms and all that. Did you know that the American Constitution is BASED on the Magna Carta, which is an English document ensuring freedom for the British people?

Lots of people want you to think that America is wonderful, we're the freeest country in the world, even though we have problems. They'll tell you "Love America or get the h**l out!" Which is quite silly, in my opinion.  America is actually a very nice place, it's just that there is lots of corruption, and the government has us so brainwashed we don't even notice all the laws that violate the constitution and take away our basic freedoms.

I really think it's much better to stay here and try to get some of the problems fixed, than it is to just run away to Europe.

  7. Losing their culture to political correctness.

  8. its ok if you like multi cultural bollox and the weathers shite, but the footballs good supposedly

  9. I am an Englishman living in Ireland. I'm afraid it is difficult to answer your question as you haven't given much in the way of information as to your interests, age, whether you prefer rural/city/coastal etc. If you add a bit more info i will come back to your question in ten mins. As far as music is concerned  although i live in rural Ireland, last night i had the choice of live, free,Bluegrass,Irish Traditional,Country and Western,Rock , 60s retro ,and Disco dependant upon which pub i went to and that in a small rural town.

  10. Best fun and youthful rock music: McFly some of their songs are barking mad.

In reference to your other question I noted that all the Western world is going down the pan really.

Hard to know if UK and Ireland is totally different from the USA if one has not been to all places in both. Few have, including me.

  11. Had to get back to you with my other account. Most English and Irish towns have an active group producing plays of all kinds, my mother who is 75 is still active in one. I find more fun in re-enacting groups which is huge in England from every historical period you can think of. In fact you could combine two of your loves horses and acting. I am in Ireland and one of my friends actually has a re-enacting cavalry unit. The sealed knot in England certainly has a number of cavalry branches. There are a number of organisations in both England and Ireland that cater for young people and horses,eg the pony club etc. I agree that some parts of England especially are becoming dangerous mainly in the inner cities but i imagine that the USA also suffers from many of these problems. My personal favorites would be Cornwall for the beaches,Yorkshire for its history , people and stunning moorland and Rural Ireland for its music, safety, and all round friendly atmousphere.

  12. I think the main problem is that our culture is converging with that of the US. I.e our celebrity worship and throw-away culture. More people enjoy trash TV and gossip.

We need to stick to what we are good at; things such as wit and irony, and not continue with the downward trend.
