  1. There is nothing wrong with it.

The problem with it is not using a debit card on the Internet- I do it all the time.

The problem IS, however, where you do your online shopping.

Only buy things online from safe sites- amazon.com and usually eBay.com are fine. To make sure that I'm buying from a safe site, I only buy from sites that I know are safe from word of mouth by friends.

Stay away from anything that looks like a personal website or unprofessional website as well.

  2. Nothing is wrong, some say it is not safe, but I have never had a problem in 5 years.

  3. A debit card probably does not have the fraud protection of a credit card.  If someone steals your card number and uses your debit account to make purchases, you may not be able to get your money back.  If the same thing happens but on a credit card, almost all credit card companies will refund you the money once its proven that it was used fraudulently.
