  1. ok, first of all, you need to be able to swim. though it is good to be fast, it is not necessary. you need to practice eggbeater, and if you don't have a pool, sit on a chair or the edge of something, and practice the leg strokes. grab a water polo ball,(a volleyball can also work) and throw it against the wall, and catch it, both with one hand, alternately. if you want to get faster, join a swim team, it really helps. when you shoot, make sure that the ball hand is holding the ball, and i all the way back, and the opposite shoulder is facing the net. so, your body shouldn't be facing the goal, just your head. do eggbeater really fast, get out of the water, move your arm back, and shoot, and make sure to land with your face in the water, it helps a lot. note that you need lots of stamina, so just don't give up, and keep at it, you will get better. i was horrible in my first couple of weeks, now, i'm one of the best players on the team.

  2. Swim, swim, swim! The better you can swim the easier water polo will be.

Practice hand eye coordination with the ball

    Do the Hungarian Ball Drill

    practice eggbeating

    study your plays

    listen to your coach

    Don't get ejected

    Be observant

AIm for the upper corner of the weaker side of the goalie when you shoot

Give the ball back to your goalie when your on defense so the shot clock will start up again

    Set and drive!

    Get open for any shots!

Talk to your coach for ideas.

Don't get discouraged, water polo is a hard sport, espiecally if you aren't a competitive swimmer. It will get easier with patience and practice. Good luck!
