Most comedians are great because they talk about what they know.  Observational humor is typically the best humor.  I am sure you have heard the saying "Its funny cause its true."  Well, there's a reason that sayin exists.   Start with what you know, your life, your friends or the small things about society that get on your nerves.  Most likely they get on other people's nerves as well.
