What is some legit and free virus protection to remove spyware on my computer?

You can get a porgram that's called ccleaner that will clean your computer of unneccessary files and jump and speed up performance at. It fixed registry errors. http://www.ccleaner.com/

Viruses Avast or AVG Free edition, my firends and I use Avast but a computer technician will put AVG on your computer. Choose one anti-virus program because more than one will cause it to work against each other and will be the downfall of your computer, it happened to me in 2006. However, avast was the only one that consistently found things on my computer.

Also use programs like Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter on your computer you all ready have them and you can get them at programs list and accessories tab and then at system tools. Similar to ccleaner but a little different. Try to do a system restore to go back to a certain time where this wasn't on your computer. I would suggest you check out some of these anti-virus and anti-spyware software programs along with a couple other recommended programs:

-McAfee 12 in 1 Security Center (anti-virus)

or AVG if you want a free program

-Spyware Doctor with AV (anti-spyware)

or Spybot S&D if you want a free program

-PC Tools Firewall Plus(free) (firewall)

-ThreatFire(free) (added virus protection)

-CCleaner(keep computer running pretty good, cleans up history and whatnot)

-Firefox(safe browser)
