What is some snowboarding lingo?

Hey. I'm working on a project for school concerning snowboarding- and I'm unfamiliar with the terminology- help me out? I need a few definitions. Thanks!

  1. well here is some terms that are used for tricks.

    Cab- which means switch.

    Goofy- you ride left foot forward

    Regular- you ride right foot forward.

    Rodeo- when you do a backflip combined with a spin.

    Scorpien- when you catch your toe edge and smack the front of your body on the slope.

    Hardway- when you jump off your toe edge and spin backside.

    Backside- When your spin with your back facing the way your going first.

    Frontside- When you spin with your front facing the way your going on the first rotation.  


  2. Shred - "how was the Shred" "lets go Shred" hard to explain what it means but im sure you get it...lol

    Freshies - get some fresh tracks on untouched snow

    Powder - new snow thats not been pisted, by a piste basher

    Regular is LEFT foot forward

    Goofy is RIGHT foot forward
