What is something BIG i could do?

So i need to do something to help the environment. but i want it to be something big that not many people do. like not just picking up trash. got any ideas?

The absolute biggest thing you could possibly do is reduce your impact. Find out as many ways to re-think your lifestyle and go green as possible.

This works three times. First, in the obvious way - you're impact.  Second - you set an example. But third - when you take on a major project people take notice. If you're not living green they will notice and reject or reverse the good you're trying to accomplish. I encourage you to take on a major project, just make sure your own house is in order first.

I'd also encourage you to start by researching and volunteering in existing projects. That way you'll learn how to get them off the ground, what works and what doesn't, and avoid making an environmental mistake with your efforts.  This will help you discover your passion and talents, which none of us here can really help you with.

Once you do find your particular passion chances are someone's already doing it. If so you could partner with them and hold a huge fundraiser. That would be more efficient than duplicating the project.

Encourage local businesses to plant gardens on the roof of their buildings.  I'm talking the big buildings downtown.  I have no idea who you would talk to or how you would do it, but that would be huge!  And it would look so cool to fly over a city and instead of black tops to see green gardens. =)

eat the apple one bite at a time. do a lot of small things and one day your body of work will be something to be proud of.

Ugh mm.. Well.. picking up trash can help.. but get more then one person doing it, get as many as you can, plant more plants, put up some DO NOT LITTER signs and NO  SMOKING and stuff and I agree with the one about the gardens on rooftops.. that would be cool..

Why don't you inspire other people to go green? In that way your effort would be multiplied.

You can do that simply by wearing a t-shirt or displaying bumper-stickers with great green slogans.

Talk to the leader of every country in the world n make picking up plastic n glass trash one of their top priorities. The world would be a better place to live in.
