I am on the verge of getting a job at Robek's Juice preparing fruit smoothies and drinks. The person who interviewed me said I will have to memorize many recipes. What can I do to help me memorize recipes and not forget them or help me memorize anything in general?

  1. A personal favorite of mine is to make little rhymes or songs that I can hum to myself to help myself remember things.

  2. only think of that one thing

  3. The best technique which was taught in memory management is to associate things or you can say pet names.

also you can try to visualize the scenario or situation for your recipe. like to do some steps to reach certain points or number of steps to reach your goal.

    Good luck!!

  4. When you put together your first recipe, you will not know it so while you are doing it, concentrate on what you are doing, wht you are adding and any reasons the company might have for putting things in this order and amount. I find that if I understand the reasoning behind what I am doing and why I am doing it a particular way, I never forget it. Things I simply memorize often take flight as soon as I move on to something else.

Use the other methods as well where you find they work for you - the two methods of remembering work together well for me and I am not one of those gifted people with photographic memory. I worked for 45 years and was often called  on to work by past temp employers because of my ability to remember what the job required. (I worked temporary assignments for 5 years but it was a full time job where I worked full time in fact, just not at the same job or company all the time.)  Good Luck!
