Question:

What is something I can take to give me more energy?

I get enough sleep everynight, between 7-10 hours usually. I work full time, and a mother of two. I never have the energy or the motivation to do anything. Even cleaning or playing with the kids is getting to be hard for me. All I want to do is sleep or just sit. I sometimes think its depression, but talked to my DR. about that. He doesn't seem to think that's the problem. I haven't always been like this. Is there anything out there over the counter I can take to give me some added energy. I have tried the energy drinks, and the 5 hour energy shot, and none of them seem to work. Is there a pill out there that does something for this? Please help, I dont want to be a lump on a log!!!!

  1. Go back to your doctor or get a new one it sounds like depression to me

  2. Pro-plus

    red bull

    lucozade

  3. What ever you do don't take caffeine it is addicting and causes headaches after you become immune and you have to have more to get rid of the headaches, at least this is what happened to me took them for five years because l had to many thing and people depending on me. Later on l was told about b12 shots and for me this was a miracle cure l had a lot of energy and found my memory was getting better well probably because l wasn't always having headaches though, if you really want something that truly helps but don't have ill effects ask you doctor l got one once a week $20 for 4 weeks and then once a month after that. here is a sight that has info on a patch you can get l never tried it so I'm giving you the link to read more hope it helps.

  4. Try healthier energy drinks they contain less caffeine and sugar but work just as well. I found a free trial for my favorite one here http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html

  5. If you look up Dr. Mercola, a widely read natural healing person, he offers the general advice that you need to switch your diet to the low end of the glycemic scale and in particular avoid sugars, honey, corn syrup, but also all finely milled grain foods.

This is likely to  do wonders in 2 weeks.

This does ignore the possibility that you might have a disease like Limes because your history does not suggest that.

You could be needing treatment of an endocrinologist. I feel that if you adopt the low-glycemic index diet you may no longer need that treatment.

  6. Have you tried Caffeine pills... those work wonders!

  7. sugar free red bull

btw could you do me a huuge favor and vote for me here?:

  8. there are these green tea diet pills that i took but they also made me feel more awake so maybe something along the line as that

  9. My guess is you are getting yourself into a routine.  You need to start exercising and working out.  I know that's hard to do at first but your body will adjust and soon you'll feel more energetic.  I don't know what your diet is either, but if it isn't that healthy, a change may be in order.  Do you drink a lot, maybe eliminate or cut down on that.

  10. I use red bull, monster, rockstar, and 5 hour energy drink...i usually take those stuff bc I usually stay online till 5 or 6 in da mornin

  11. try 5 hour energy drink i think thats what its called.

  12. Your Dr. can be wrong. and I think he is. you need a break in your lifestyle and this needs to happen soon. I worked full time and I have a 21 yr old and a 5yr old and I play PS2 on my down time before I go to bed. I even work out before bed to. Get another opinion please and drugs or no answer for energy.

  13. Fatigue can be symptomatic of a lot of things. Have your doctor run blood tests to eliminate things like anemia or disease.  Your diet may be a contributor - fast food and junk food can be quite draining.  Are you getting a good balance of protein and carbs? You may need a supplement like B complex or iron.  B complex contain B12 which helps with depression and iron will help if you're anemic. Lastly, start an exercise routine. I know it's hard when you don't have the energy, but once you start it really does help, even if it's just taking your kids for a 20 minute walk every day.
