What is something that produces alot of smoke?

A bat got into our house and we want to know what is something that produces alot of smoke so the bat can get out of our house.

Hello,,do not try this at home!!you must be crazy!!the smoke could kill you,,and it will s***w up your house,,get a posse together and arm yourselves with bath towels,,when the bat tries to fly away hold up the towel so it gets caught it it, turn it loose outside,they won't hurt you,,but you'll need to find out how it got inside,got a chimney? basement with broken window? upstairs window open without a screen?don't try the smoke !!that will just cause major trouble for the insurance company.

We once bought something that made a noise ( pardon the pun ) that drove the bats batty. It was about the size of a square alarm clock and it made a sound the bats and other rodents couldn't stand but we could not hear it. I don't know where you could find one but we bought it at a Fleet Farm store.

Well, if you have a candle in a deep glass you can get some really dry leafs and burn them, it worked for me so yeah!

By all means don't do smoke...That will only worsen your problems. The bat is ok and won't bit you so have a few people over to chase it around the house and open up windows and doors so it can escape, I take it you have a fire place? That is where they usually get in this time of the year especially during hot weather. Like in Ca. where all the forest fires are, they are trying to get away from the smoke in the first place...lol

Your best solution is to watch them leave at night and plug the holes.  

You might want to be kind and build a couple "bat homes" for them since they do a good job reducing the insects around your home.

what makes you think smoke will chase out a bat,open a door and chase the thing out,the device spoken about is a "ultra sonic device"it emits a ultra sonic noise that irritates the ears of rodents and bats and will help to keep them away from your home.Buy opening a door the bats natural echo location will let it know there is an exit and it may take advantage of it.
