  7. Well Emmy, There are some good answers above.  you are a little slow in parting with your money. The longer you leave it, the less $5000 will be worth, because the dollar is in freefall against the euro.

    In foods: Paella, Gazpacho, Cocido Madrileño, Tortilla Española, Seafood.

    Great wines from different areas in the country (Rioja, Penedès, Ribera del Duero, Jeréz de la Frontera, Montilla, Málaga, etc.)

    Then there is Bullfighting, Flamenco Dancing, Spanish guitarists, The Ferias (April in Seville, August in Málaga, and many in between), Holy Week processions, The Rocío Pilgrimage.

    Cities such as Madrid, Toledo, Barcelona, Seville, Granada, etc. with all the monuments and architectural marvels they contain.

    Leather work & Silver filligree work from Cordoba.

    Swords and other steel works from Toledo also Marzipans.

    Cheeses from La Mancha.

    Turrones (sweets) from Jijona and Alicante.

    Ensaimadas from Mallorca.

    Empanadas from Galicia.

    And all these are just a few examples!

    Use the 5,000 dollars to come to Spain for a visit!!!
