1. ghfgh

  2. the study of your family history

  3. It is the study of JEANS.

  4. Genealogy, which literally translates from the Greek as the study of descent, researches family lineage and history. Thus, genealogical research examines historical records, such as birth, marriage, and death records, censuses, conscription, passport, and naturalization records, ship lists, deeds, probate records, and wills as well as family bibles (or other religious books where family data is recorded), letters, diaries, labeled photos, and tombstones to determine kinship.

Genealogists begin by collecting family stories (a process known formally as oral history) and compiling documents of immediate family members and then work their way back in time. Researchers also place much more emphasis on primary sources, such as birth, death, and marriage certificates, than on secondary sources, for example, a family tree cribbed from an on line web site.

  5. A frustrating journey into the lives of past ancestors. Extremely rewarding from time to time.

  6. The study of ancestors and family trees.

  7. Genealogy is who you are and who you come from. It's a nice thing to learn about.
