  1. Spotting can happen anytime and for many different reasons.  Spotting can occur during the onset of a period, during and after s*x, at ovulation if the ovarian follicle is ruptured during the releasing of an egg, implantation spotting, and various reasons during pregnancy.

If you are having a flow, no matter how much or little, you may be having your period.  After being late for 7 weeks you should be going to your doctor.  You can demand a blood test.  You can also tell them you got a positive if you want... or take a pee test at the doctor's office.  They need to be trying to figure out if you have something wrong with you that may not even be related to pregnancy.  Seven weeks late with a negative HPT is odd.

  2. go to your dr and get a blood test
