  1. A stakeholder is simply someone who matters that has a direct influence on the outcome.

    Stakeholders of a buidling are: the occupants, FM manager, owner, architect etc.

    Stakeholders in finance are: shareholders, market makers, company owners etc.

    Each stakeholder's value is governed by how much influence they have on the final outcome i.e. the more shares/stake an investor has the more important he/she is and so on.
