It is a gram-positive microbe,  grows in a grapelike cluster, and  is ‘naturally present as part of the oral flora and in mucosa-lined cavities such as the mouth and nasal cavity’. Staphylococcus albus is the most common skin bacteria and can spread through the air or by direct contact.
