  1. Stocks are shares of companies.

You can buy a share of the company, so when the companies money goes up, so does your stock. But its usually about buying stocks at low prices and selling as soon as they get high.

    Its pretty risky.

  2. Lots of good books at the library on the subject; mush too much detail for a quick answer here.

Most people who buy stocks have them kept by the broker. What they watch is the price quoted on the DOW.

  3. haay i heard about tht in math ahaha

its like something about a company && it either decreases or increases somthing like tht...

  4. A "stock" is a share or a percentage of a company. If a company has 1,000,000 shares and you own 100, then you own 0.0001% of the company.

Buying a stock means buying shares of a company.

"Watching" a stock simply means keeping track of the price of the shares. The idea is that when the price is high, you sell your shares and the difference between the amount you sold them for and the amount you paid for them is your profit.
