  3. It is the fat off of animals that you render or melt down. I use it   to feed to the birds. I add sunflower seeds to the suet and sometimes fruit. Sometimes a flavor it with peanut butter.

  4. Ground animal fat, usually from beef or pork in the U.S.. It is mixed with lean ground meat to make hamburger, in mincemeat, and sometimes rendered (melted) and strained to use for frying or adding to baked goods.
