What is summer school like? Have you ever been??

I have to go to summer school next week because I failed my math course this year......

Well I was wondering what is summer school like?

I dont think I will know anyone and I will get stuck with really annoying people who didnt even try all year. Is it possible to fail summer school? lol

Im not very good at math. Well have you ever had to take summer school? What was it like? Can you give me some advise? I will choose best anwser to most helpful.

  1. Shannon is right. The classes are longer and the subject matter is condensed. There will probably be a bunch of handouts to do along with homework that adds reinforcement.

    Usually the students who do not want to be there will find a way to get out of it. Just do your job and let the teacher do hers/his and you will be fine.


  2. You sit in  a hot room for 3 hours, 6 weeks taking math lessons.

  3. If you miss more than one day, you will fail in most summer schools. I have never gone, but my brothers have. It is a little harder, not only because of the warm weather and the itching to get back to your friends, but because everything is condensed into a couple of weeks rather than 16 weeks (Tests every other day, very long classes etc.). Just try your best and you should do fine.
