What is sushi made from?

i know its raw fish and seaweed, but what is the specific fish they use?

all the different kinds of sushi use different kinds of fish and different kinds of seaweed. Popular fish is, salmon, tuna but that is far from an inclusive list.

tuna, salmon, eel, prawns, shrimp, lobster, crayfish, - basically fish with beautifully delicate flavours. i had sushi in london made with mackerel which was not too bad actually

Sushi is more than raw fish and seaweed.  Authetic sushi is made with vinegared rice and topped with different kinds of ingredients.  It could be fish, meats or simply vegetables.
