What is sweeney todd about???

hi i really want to see sweeney todd but i dont really know what it is about. plz tell!! thanxs :)

It's about a man that had hard years in exile for a crime he didn't commit, Benjamin Barker now Sweeney Todd, returns to London to find his wife dead and his daughter in the hands of the evil Judge Turpin. In his anger, Sweeney goes on a murderous rampage on all London, with the help of Mrs. Lovett, he opens a barber shop in which he lures his victims in with a charming smile before casually ending their life with a flick of his razor across their neck. But not one man killed, nor ten thousands men can satisfy Sweeney's lust for revenge on those who've caused his years of pain.

Its reallyyyy good. I just watched it last night.

Well, I havn't really seen it before but what I can gather it is about this man, crazy, and he cuts people up in his Barber Shop I beleive and he pulls this lever and they slide down to his secret room. A little disturbing I beleive.

A barber who thinks his lover has been killed and is now out to get revenge on those who where involved.

It is quite awesome of a movie and I really enjoyed it, and it was a magnificent but sad ending wich I dont want to spoil for you.

I encourage you to watch it.

All you need to know is in the title: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.  The rest, it's better to just see it in the theater/cinema/your living room.  But it looks like someone's already posted the story, so all I can do is encourage you to see it, whether it is the play or the movie; I just saw the play last night and it's probably my favorite of all time (after Spamalot :) ).

Also, when you post questions, PLEASE put them in the correct category.  This question doesn't belong in Genealogy, unless you're related to Sweeney Todd somehow.
