  1. As you are obviously knitting from a pattern - try looking for a section near the beginning of the pattern called   'abbreviations' - this should clearly explain what the t3b and t3f means and how to do it.


  2. It sounds like a cable abbreviation.  Slip 3 stitiches onto a cable needle and leave at the front.  Knit 3 stitches and then knit the 3 stitches off the cable needle.  Repeat for t3b but leave the cable needle at the back this time.

    Might pay to read the abbreviations at the front of the actual pattern as it should say what it is there.

  3. I have been knitting for 40 years and am not really sure but it sounds like it is part of a cable pattern. t3f soundls like put 3 stitches in the front and t3b would be to put them in the back. I hope that I am not way off on this. Not sure exactly what the t means but the 3 is definately 3 stitches and the f & b are front and back.

    I think I need a little more information on the type of pattern it is.
