Need to grab one in Toronto so if you can provide a link to a Sears or a Tire, that'd be great too.

  1. Home Depot has the Alden Pro Grabit. Its an extractor that fits on a drill.

  2. The proper name for that would be a "s***w extractor". A popular brand name that I've always known and which is often used to describe the tool itself (like "kleenex" for tissue) is the E-Z Out. But all the drill and tap and die makers have them too. Like Hansen, who makes excellent drills and taps, also makes nice s***w extractors.

A REAL auto parts store will have them. It would be hit-or-miss as to whether a hardware store would stock them. You could definitely find them online.

But, an EZ Out is not an electric tool. You would drill a hole in the broken off s***w, and drive in the EZ Out and then (hopefully) back the s***w out by turning the extractor with a wrench or pliers. If the extractor fails, then you're looking at drilling the whole mess out and then tapping a larger hole, or putting in a threaded insert, such as the Heli-Coil.
