What is that little stick that you use to pick up trash with when doing community service?

I use an old cut off broom handle.  Drive a nail in the end and sharpen it to stab trash with.  Or you can get fancy and buy a gadget that is used for this purpose at any department stores like Wal Mart.

I'm not sure what it is called but you can get it at any drug store  or wal-mart.  It will be in the section where they have all the "As seen on tv" stuff.
