What is that noise that some electronics make that sounds like Morse code or rhythmic humming?

My sister said it's caused by cell phone tower interference, but I don't know if she's right. Usually happens with radios, clock radios, mp3 players plugged into car cassette decks, and occasionally, computer speakers that are plugged in all the time. Does it have to do with too much power or something? Thanks!

  1. I think you are talking about cell phone interference.  It sounds like some quick beeps and buzzing.  I have even heard it on TV when someones cellphone on the set is interfering with the equipment.

It is very common and the only thing you can really do about it is to turn off the phone.
